Website Maintenance and Support for Oregon Small Businesses
A business website is easier to depend on when one person is responsible for keeping it online, current, backed up, and connected to the way customers contact the business.
Maintenance is more than software updates
- Includes
- Hosting, backups, updates + direct support
- One-page plan
- Routine updates included
- Custom Web Design
- Priority ongoing work
Software and security updates matter on WordPress, but a maintained business website also needs correct hours, current services, working forms, usable mobile pages, backups, domain and hosting oversight, and someone who notices when the business has outgrown part of the site.
Support is built into the Davis Web Design plans
The Foundation Plan includes hosting, a standard available domain, and up to two routine update requests per month for up to one hour total. The Custom Web Design includes hosting, priority updates, backups, analytics, and ongoing work for a larger site. Approved work outside the included scope is discussed before it is billed.
Existing websites need a check before they are taken on
A site built elsewhere may have an overloaded plugin stack, unclear ownership, an expired license, custom code, or a hosting setup that changes the amount of work required. I review the site before agreeing to maintain it so the responsibility and price are honest.
The useful question is what the payment covers
A low monthly fee that covers hosting only is different from a relationship that includes changes and direct support. Compare who owns each responsibility, how updates are requested, what happens when something breaks, and which work is outside the plan.
